So this weekend was Emmy weekend...normally I don't care but as a manager now I sort of have to. I submitted Erik Ellington for a few Emmy gifting suites and we decided to hit the HBO lounge on Saturday since it fit within both of our schedules.
On Friday, my girl Courtney Hazlett from MSNBC rolled into town and it turned out she was staying at the Four Seasons, where the suite was being held. I got her on the list too and planned to meet up with her for some poolside cocktails. Right when I rolled up, Larry Flynt rolled out...cool sighting but I didn't take a pic. The place was teeming with celebs
We got to hang out for an hour or so before Erik was done skating the Berrics so we imbibed a few $20 cocktails. Some fruity things but they had gin in them so I was cool.
Some of the remnants of what were some over priced cocktails

The entrance to the suite. Neither Erik nor Courtney were on the list when we got there as promised but the call was made and quickly an escort came to make sure we were taken care of (thanks Jeff Respress).
Inside there were some good brands and some solid giveaways. Ellington and Courtney each walked away with chocolate, haircare products, watches, eyeglasses (Thanks to Thomas from Beryll for hooking me up with a pair as well), hats from New Era (so good to see you Jen Yu...thanks for the lids) and a bunch of other stuff.
Ellington enters his first gifting suite. Courtney Hazlett follows.
Erik, being all tattooed and long hair, was stereotyped and forced into doing a rendition of Aerosmith for the crowd on drum hero. He was pretty good but not good enough to impress Jorge Garcia (who I went to UCLA with and is a really cool cat) from Lost. Hazlett looks equally impressed...
All in all, the suite was solid. The next day Courtney asked if I thought the diamond company (www.sophiafiori.com) would lend her diamonds last minute for the red carpet. I emailed Bernard Bachoura who replied in minutes. Within an hour Courtney was picking up loaners and here she is in all her glory rocking a few bucks worth of ice. If you watch her online broadcast she gave a really nice shout out to Sophia Fiori for the loaners...Everyone was happy.
Here I am still doing product placement and I don't even do product placement any more.
