Courtney Hazlett, Pop Culture & Entertainment Reporter, MSNBC
Courtney Hazlett covers media and pop culture as a columnist and on-air personality for MSNBC. She is a regular contributor to Morning Joe, MSNBC dayside programming, and Today. Her column, The Scoop, runs daily on MSNBC.com. In addition to covering daily news from the entertainment industry, some of her current work has focused on the intersection between Hollywood in Washington since the election of Barack Obama, and the challenges media faces during a changing economy.

Prior to joining MSNBC, Hazlett was a reporter at OK! Magazine, People magazine, and The SmokingGun.com. She’s holds a M.S. from The Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Tulane University. She lives in New York City.
