The race to 1400 - prizes for my 1400th Facebook friend

So here we are about to reach another Facebook milestone and I feel like giving some shit away. It took a lot longer to get to 1400 because frankly people aren't using Facebook as much any more. My activity on there is cut 80% at least and it seems other people's have as well. Oh well..

The 1400th person to become my friend on Facebook will win a prize. The key here is that I actually have to know you and be your friend.

I have also offered it out to brands to offer a prize and hopefully some people will step up otherwise I will have to come up with something from my stash.

Let the games begin.

Marcus Spence of Ten2One Entertainment gets grilled by Soundsource.com

Just got back from a shoot with Marcus Spence, one half of Ten2One Entertainment (Paul "Coy" Allen is in Vegas shooting), and SoundSource.com. Marcus talks about his company's upcoming film with Effie Brown, working with Timbaland and pillow fighting (not really). The interview went really well and I will post the link on my Twitter feed (@MattRPRT) when it comes out.

It took me 20 minutes to type this post because there was one of those latte machines in the space we did the interview and, being free, I drank two of them. Now I am all jittery. LESSON OF THE DAY: Just because it is free, doesn't mean it is good.

Print Pub Death Watch - R.I.P. King Magazine

The urban magazine space just got smaller. King just shuttered. I had a ton of hits in the mag over the years and am sorry to see them go. One more down...the newsstand just got smaller by a Kingsize amount.

Gilles Marini in True Love and False Idols

Gilles, who I hear is the front runner for Dancing With The Stars, was seen on TMZ in a cashmere TLFI hoodie (the same one Scott from AI wore). Thanks to Nina Ngo for giving Gilles the gear. We hope he dances his little heart out and wins that shit (what do you get anyways if you win?).

For the entire TMZ interview you can go here: http://www.tmz.com/2009/04/01/dancing-star-giraffes-kill-the-mood/

April Fool's - though I am the only fool

So every year I pull the same shit claiming the Plop is dead (though I did kill it once) and the only person I hurt is myself. Readership plummets and I have to fight to bring it back up to it's normal record breaking levels (I think last month we had more hits than the Toto Fan Club website).

Well we were out of town yesterday so we thought by doing our April Fool's joke and not really coming back til today we will have tricked people. Not that anyone really cares anyways. However, we are back in action so here we go...
