I am the only sorry mofo in the office today and I know not a damn thing will get done on the business front. In fact, this week has been a total wash. We won't be coming in tomorrow so we want to wish you all a great Fourth of July. Be safe but be naughty. Go BIG this year. Happy B-Day to America. You are so fucked up but we love you!

Expose NY Spring '10 Welcomes Kooey

Some of you folks who read this blog may know that I run a fashion showcase during NY Fashion Week called Expose NY (www.expose-ny.com). Well we have been pouring over applications and this week sent out invites to about a dozen designers. The first to sign up for the next event is a swim collection we actually launched in the States called Kooey (www.kooey.com). We want to welcome them to Expose and wish them luck at Swim Show, which is coming up in Miami.
For brands wanting to get involved, there is still time to apply.

iPhone App of the Day - GOSK8

OK kiddies...time to get your fat asses off the couch and stop playing SKATE 2 and go out and do the real thing. This new iPhone app (good thing I am a Blackberry man tried and true b/c I would be forced to try it and I think even the beginner level is way over my skillset these days) GOSK8 is a digital jackpot wheel that allows people to randomly pick a trick they have to pull off for a real game of SKATE. For those that don't know, SKATE is the skating equivalent of HORSE for basketball...one person does a trick, another has to pull it off or else they get a letter. First to get GOSK8 loses.
The app is $1.99 and you can get it from the iTunes store. For more info on the product head over to http://gosk8.wordpress.com

Today's COOL/NOT COOL - Shorts for Dudes
COOL - a nice pair of walkshorts (not cargo) with a good straight silhouette that comes down to the knee.
NOT COOL - dudes...do not EVER wear cut off jeans shorts...for any reason. Not cool at all. Girls...you are free and clear on this one as long as they aren't cut super short heart shaped 80's cheese style.

Cash + The Bird = Legend

So I am always bitching about nobody sending me cool stuff anymore to blog about and lo and behold I get contacted by a band merch company out of Canada (eh?) that wanted me to blog about their new exclusively licensed Johnny Cash tee for the ladies. I don't fit into a baby doll tee and am not normally a big band merch fan but I did think this shirt cool enough to blog about. Johnny was the O.G. rocker and this legendary pic of him says it all before you could say it all in the media. For more info on how to get your Johnny Cash tee go here

I am going to hell for this post

I was walking behind this guy this morning and I just don't know if it's a good idea to be sending your important rush business package with United Express any time soon...just saying.

2011 Ford Mustang?

Saturday night I rolled through Hollywood (stupid me forgetting about Michael Jackson's star on the Walk of Fame being mobbed) and pulled up next to this loud Mustang covered in front drapes. They do this when they are testing the new car models. I have to say I am really impressed with what Ford has done with the Mustang and Chevy with the Camaro. Muscle cars were only my thing for a really brief moment back when I was 18 but as I get older I am sort of learning to appreciate the old fuel burners of yesteryear. Maybe I am just tapping my white trash inner beast???
