The Plop supports the Guncles since they support us

Watch Tori and Dean tonight on Oxygen and see our good friend and celebrity "Guncle" Bill Horn grace the screen. Here is Bill in a cashmere hoodie we gave him a while back...always down to help me get my clients on the tube. Thanks Bill!!! The Guncles for president.

Plop client newsbites of the day!

A lot is going on this week with RPRT/Plop clients and we wanted to fill you in on the goodness first hand:

1) Courtney Hazlett is in town to cover the Michael Jackson mayhem for MSNBC. Busy as hell...in and out...power reporting.

2) Jorge Gurgel spent the last week doing seminars in his schools in good ole' Canada and now they won't let him back into the country he has a Green Card for. Jorge has spent the last 24 hours in the Canadian airport being questioned, denied, poked, prodded and getting full cavity searches (not really). Last news is that they will let him fly to the States and question him here for a few hours for some weird reason.

3) Erik Ellington and Geoff Rowley will be skating in the Maloof Money Cup this week (Rowley designed the course). I will be holding down the fort in the industry section for Team Flip and Team Deathwish down at the O.C. Fairgrounds. Beer will be consumed.

4) DJ Piers Baron will be wingman at the Maloof to support Team Flip and will be meeting with my man DJ Skeet Skeet soon to discuss doing some shit together.

5) Warren G just got back from doing a show in Vegas and is going over some potential projects including producing a kid's rap album with a certain Bravo T.V. reality star/producer.

6) Brad Pitt just got another $8.9 billion dollar job and is progressively getting richer and younger. He is NOT our client. FML.

Monster does the offices up RIGHT

Props to the Monster Energy crew for coming by the RPRT/Plop offices today and lacing us up with mad stacks of energy. We got energy coffee, energy juice, energy energy...all of it.

I am sure I will be seeing the Monster crew down at the Maloof Money Cup this weekend as they are supporters of Team Flip!

Still waiting on the Vodka sponsor...(though we have some tequila on the way I am told).

A little belated SUNSHINE arrives for my B-Day - Finally

Every time I get a suspicious package with no name on it I am positive it will be a pipe bomb or filled with ricin. However, today that was not the case. Plop local and good friend Angela Gilltrap (http://sunshineonsugarhill.blogspot.com/) recently finished her novel which seemed like an endless ordeal of re-writes, edits and general excruciating pain. The book is called Sunshine on Sugar Hill and is about Ange's exploits as an Aussie ex-pat performer living in the deepest parts of Harlem. If you know Angela and her life, this book is destined to be a classic (and probably a film...producers get on the option for this one) read filled with hilarity, mayhem and SEX (ok I had to throw that in there). I've been waiting for a copy for months and can't wait to read it (especially the Casey Gillespie parts).

Currently SOSH is only available in Australia at www.abcshop.com.au but is due for a U.S. release soon which I will be promoting heavily to support fam.

I am honored that I made the aknowlegements even though I am referred to as Mr. Meyerson. My great-grandfather was Mr. Meyerson. Thanks for the nod Angela...you give me purpose in life.

I was protected this weekend

Special thanks go out to Shaka Laka for sending me a boat load of sunscreen, lip balm and face sticks to keep me safe this 4th of July weekend. Spent all weekend lamping and surfing in Laguna Beach and had a blast. Shaka Laka kept me from getting burned and I would definitely suggest checking out their product line. It smells good, feels good and works like a charm...

I will definitely be using the products this week when the Plop heads to the Maloof Money Cup to support clients from Team Flip Skateboards and Team Deathwish. May even bring some to Hawaii if my damn show ever gets off the ground (may have some action on that to report soon). Read more!

Happy Fourth - The Plop is going on weekend hiatus

I am the only sorry mofo in the office today and I know not a damn thing will get done on the business front. In fact, this week has been a total wash. We won't be coming in tomorrow so we want to wish you all a great Fourth of July. Be safe but be naughty. Go BIG this year. Happy B-Day to America. You are so fucked up but we love you!

Expose NY Spring '10 Welcomes Kooey

Some of you folks who read this blog may know that I run a fashion showcase during NY Fashion Week called Expose NY (www.expose-ny.com). Well we have been pouring over applications and this week sent out invites to about a dozen designers. The first to sign up for the next event is a swim collection we actually launched in the States called Kooey (www.kooey.com). We want to welcome them to Expose and wish them luck at Swim Show, which is coming up in Miami.

For brands wanting to get involved, there is still time to apply.

iPhone App of the Day - GOSK8

OK kiddies...time to get your fat asses off the couch and stop playing SKATE 2 and go out and do the real thing. This new iPhone app (good thing I am a Blackberry man tried and true b/c I would be forced to try it and I think even the beginner level is way over my skillset these days) GOSK8 is a digital jackpot wheel that allows people to randomly pick a trick they have to pull off for a real game of SKATE. For those that don't know, SKATE is the skating equivalent of HORSE for basketball...one person does a trick, another has to pull it off or else they get a letter. First to get GOSK8 loses.

The app is $1.99 and you can get it from the iTunes store. For more info on the product head over to http://gosk8.wordpress.com
