So this blog is slowly dying a painful death because I am too damn busy to update it. However, I just can't bring myself to killing it for a second time so postings will be intermittent.
Last week it was skate event after skate event. There was this weird mini ramp contest at The Standard in Hollywood that Curren, Louie and Langi skated in. Then there was Vans' Downtown Showdown and Curren, Louie, Langi, Shane Borland and Geoff Rowley all attended. Finally there was the 1 year anniversary of the Venice Skatepark party...All fun events. I took pics but am too lazy to post.
After all the skating got out of my system, I headed to Vegas (again) with Mark DellaGrotte to film for the video game he is doing with THQ. We shot on the set of The Ultimate Fighter and it was a long day working in a 95 degree warehouse (the air conditioning is too loud for filming). Mark killed it and I think the project is going to be insane...Here are some pics (a hint: follow me on twitter @MattRPRT and you can get a lot of this shit in real time).
Mark enjoying a pair of the new Philips x O'Neill "Stretch" headphones.
Mark loves makeup time. We were so glad to have Suzy on the set with us!
Mark sitting down Bob, the director, getting a sense of what he will be doing for the next 12 hours...fun times.
UFC fighter John Fitch was a champ doing whatever Mark told him to do for half a day.
During the shoot, the only refuge we had was Georges St. Pierre's room which had air conditioning. Every break we had we ran to chill in this room...Above, Mark looks thrilled.

Congrats to Zoila Frausto! Next stop...115 lb. Bellator Finals!
So my company, rprt, was brought in to help out our friend (and girlfriend of client Jorge Gurgel) with her semi-final bout last night against Jessica Aguilar in the 115-lb. women's tournament. Women's MMA isn't something we normally follow over here at the Plop, but knowing Zoila and how cool she is has made us a fan.
Last night she went the distance to win in a bloody decision and is going to the FINALS to fight for the belt. We are stoked for Zoila and Jorge.
Special thanks go out to the sponsors who stepped up when we called: Tussle Fight Gear, Magnum Detox and Fifth Round Clothing all supported Z and deserve a huge GRACIAS.
