It was announced this morning that French Luxury Brand conglomerate PPR (Gucci, YSL, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen) has just completed a friendly takeover of Volcom to the tune of about $600 million. This is interesting news as the Luxury company buys it's first lifestyle brand (unless you consider Puma lifestyle) which caters to the masses.
With so many clients on the Volcom roster it will be interesting to see if the affects are good or bad. Hope the boys won't have to wear berets and fur coats now...
To be continued...

looks like a bad time for action sports companies at the moment, i heard on Tuesday from a Roxy sales representative from the UK that they are supplying 300 Sports Direct stores with Roxy clothing now the brand is almost dead in the uk, just to bolster sales. Bad times
seems like a good time to be a veeco shareholder though!
France rules but volcom still sux and America does too. We buy all this shit that all these shitty companies over stock from china. You should be ashamed to be american surfer, pussy!
